A: How do I care for my virgin hair?

   It is very important to take good care of your hair extensions for expanding their life expectancy.

  Treat the hair weave just as if it was your own hair. Human hair extensions need not be washed as frequently as our own hair;

  Wash only when they start to look dull and lifeless. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Wash and condition the hair in one direction, from top to bottom. Avoid washing hair upside down in the sink or scrunching on top of your head.

  Use shampoos and conditioners that hydrate and add moisture. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use a leave-in spray conditioner in between shampoos. Daily use of a leave- in spray conditioner is a must for curly weaves, especially on the ends.

 With proper care, virgin hair will stay soft and beautiful wash after wash.

B: How do I wash my virgin hair?

When shampooing, finger comb through hair. Do not massage. Rinse thoroughly. Apply Conditioner.

  Comb conditioner through hair with wide tooth comb starting with the ends working towards the roots. Rinse thoroughly. Let hair air dry naturally.

  Style by using a medium heat ceramic flat iron or blow dryer. Virtually any good conditioner will suffice when trying to moisturize your hair. There’s no need to use expensive or salon grade products on your hair once you’ve found a good quality drugstore brand that works for you and your hair extensions type or texture.

  As long as your hair gets continuous moisture, you choose the right styling products, and you keep your hair clean, it will look and feel great!

C: DO’S and DON’TS

(1). Air drying is highly recommended for all virgin hair types after washing and conditioning.

  (2). Perform a co-wash at least once in 2-3 weeks.

  (3). Try to always use a moisturizing leave in conditioner. Avoid having to use any other styling products between washes.

  (4). Use alcohol free serums or products on hair. This will not dry out the hair and make it frizzy.

  (5). Do not apply any heavy oils on hair as they will seep on to the hair extensions or wigs, in turn weighing it down and resulting in restricted movement and potential tangling.
